Located west of Denmark,Søndervig is a known tourist beach in the world of artists for its annual event dedicated to sand sculpture. On the occasion of 15th year, the festival has set up a collaboration with the WWF to honor the underwater world.
So 12,000 tons of sand have been molded and sculpted to bring out the beauty of ocean bottoms with whales, octopuses, seals and other exotic fish ... Spongebob and Patrick the Star have even found themselves on these sand walls, filmed below by a tourist.
And tourists, there are! In 2016, near 150,000 people had gone to the beaches ofSøndervig to admire the sculptures. And we must admit that it is quite fascinating because if most creations are independent, the main attraction lies in a wall of 200 meters long for 7 meters high entirely carved in the smallest details.
