It's a fact: the fashion is an eternal renewal that often draws on the past to reinvent the future. But when modernity and tradition become one, sometimes it gives mixes too surprising than innovative.
The famous brand of clothing Moncler recently made her talk by unveiling a capsule collection of jackets deliberately inspired by the paintings of the Renaissance. To give life to these surprising creations, the brand collaborated with Pierpaolo Piccioli, artistic director of the house Valentino.
From this union resulting from two very different worlds of the world is born this collection of jackets which are inspired by the paintings of the Renaissance, sometimes echoing religious icons like Virgin Mary.
Surprising jackets that seem straight from the Renaissance 🧥
More specifically, these jackets take the form of zipped capes with quilted hoods that are superimposed on skirts associated with matching gloves that cover the entire body. In short, impossible to have cold with such accoutrement.
The artistic director Pierpaolo Piccioli describes this collection that gives pride of place to ancient art as "An ultimate expression of his tastes and a very personal effort". We are still quite dubious about these creations but as we often say: the tastes and colors, it is not discussed. These surprising jackets are already available for sale in all stores Moncler... for a price oscillating between 1650 and 2800 euros !
