The story takes place in a government shelter Florida christened Orange County Animal Services (OCAS). The latter welcomes more than 20,000 animals each year and aims to find a roof and serious masters to these companions often abandoned, injured and / or lost.
And to find them a new home, the shelter is in the habit of taking a quick photo of the animals to distribute the photos on its website and its social networks. A common practice in shelters around the world that questioned a volunteer from OCAS and especially professional photographer, Albert Harris. The latter offered his help to stop with these sad pictureswithout angle or light and often taken at the arrival of the animal in the refuge, period at which it is obviously traumatized.
With this operation, Albert Harris has especially wanted to show the importance of a beautiful photograph for shelters and hopes to trigger vocations of volunteers / photographers around the world. We forgot ... thanks to these photos, the shelter exploded record of adoptions dating from 48 years !
