You surely know the expression "like Master like dog" which is simply based on the observation that dogs are necessarily like their masters. In reality, this is not always true, but sometimes the resemblance is particularly disturbing. And if the subject interests you, then you will inevitably fall in love with the photographic project initiated by the British artist Gerrard Gethings.
The latter had fun taking pictures of dogs and their masters who have a certain resemblance and we must admit that we can not deny it when we see the two shots side by side. But do not think that physical resemblance does everything. To perfectly disturb our brain, the photographer has of course worked on the position of the dog and his master during the photo to reinforce this osmosis.
In total, more than 25 comparisons photos were made on this model, which also gave rise to a baptized board game "Do you look like your dog". And the principle is quite simple: you have to make the faces of dogs with their masters.
We let you discover below 10 portraits selected from the 25, and of course, we invite you to visit the Instagram account of Gerrard Gethings to learn more about these projects. Finally, if you are interested in the photo ideas that showcase our bushy friends, we invite you to discover the work ofAlexander Khokhlov and Verinoca Ershova which show the dogs more expressive than ever.
